Microsoft's vintage anti-Linux strategies

There is an interesting article (with plenty of links, but I haven't investigated it fully so I don't know about the real sources of all this - probably not much usable legally) on "Boycott Novell", a website apparently talking about the underground conspiracies of the mighty against Linux. http://boycottnovell.com.nyud.net:8080/2009/01/30/microsoft-intel-anti-linux/ I thought it would be nice to share. We learn about anti-Linux actions,  Gartner reports alteration, etc.

Dokeos 1.8.6 Beta... is it out already?

Hehe... Should I announce it or should I keep it quiet a little bit more? :-) The beta is now available for download from the Dokeos repository: http://www.dokeos.com/download/dokeos-1.8.6-beta.zip There has been an enormous amount of work on this version. If you find any bug, please report it in http://projects.dokeos.com, after checking that it hasn't been reported already. We'll start making proper announcements soon :-)

25 Most Dangerous Programming Errors

There's a bit of a fuss at the moment around the recent release of a list of the 25 Most Dangerous Programming Errors known to humanity. Apparently, there's still some work going on to recommend the best practices to avoid them, but the list is available here: http://www.sans.org/top25errors/ Dokeos is most probably falling short of a few of these. Let's try to analyse that and make it a better soft.
