There is an interesting article (with plenty of links, but I haven't investigated it fully so I don't know about the real sources of all this - probably not much usable legally) on "Boycott Novell", a website apparently talking about the underground conspiracies of the mighty against Linux.

I thought it would be nice to share. We learn about anti-Linux actions, Gartner reports alteration, etc.
Today I heard that yet another university study was going to be started about Dokeos. This time, the person that is going to do it is a acquaintance. We have chatted a few times and participated in events together.
Hehe... Should I announce it or should I keep it quiet a little bit more? :-)
The beta is now available for download from the Dokeos repository:

There has been an enormous amount of work on this version. If you find any bug, please report it in http://projects.dokeos.com, after checking that it hasn't been reported already.
We'll start making proper announcements soon :-)
I just found about the flossmetrics project through the FOSDEM program. Reading the details, it just looks like some wacky free version of ohloh.net... Let's keep an eye on that.
As the beta draws closer (it should have been released last week but we had to add some last minute stuff to avoid waiting 6 months before being able to integrate them), we just happened to organise the January Drupal Perú reunion here in Lima, and...
When developing GPL applications, we are constantly faced with the problem of having to find usable icons that do not infringe the license... Julio recently posted an article on our Spanish blog to talk about IconFinder, a great website to do just that.
There's a bit of a fuss at the moment around the recent release of a list of the 25 Most Dangerous Programming Errors known to humanity. Apparently, there's still some work going on to recommend the best practices to avoid them, but the list is available here: http://www.sans.org/top25errors/
Dokeos is most probably falling short of a few of these. Let's try to analyse that and make it a better soft.
