Introduction: the requirements

A customer of ours wanted a website which could manage the integration of just about any external content (meaning video, audio, images, but also Google docs, slides from Slideshare and books from Scribd) in a 'Resource' content type.

Just as a reminder:

• use the disk sharing icon at the bottom of he VirtualBox window to setup a shared directory (let's say you give it a name of "shareddir")
• go inside the VirtualBox window
• if you haven't installed the VirtualBox Guest Additions (commonly referred to as GA), please do so from the "Devices" menu of your Virtual Box window
• open a terminal (Execute cmd)
• type "net use x: \vboxsrvshareddir"

We've had a lot of teachers ask us for streaming capabilities and, over time, we've grown tired of setting up videoconference servers for a few bucks a month because teachers just can't afford the budget. While there are many tools around to do video streaming or classroom conferences, most of the operations to set them up seem to be a pain in the neck for most people desperately wanting to benefit from these features, and while Chamilo is preparing its first tests with BigBlueButton as a free, open-source videoconference classroom environment, this might still take a while to come out so I t

Let's say you want to install Chamilo on your netbook for a demo... As Drupal is moving to the localization server localize.drupal.org, here's a small tip that took me a little while to find, but can be very useful in the end, as it will allow you to contribute your translations back to the Drupal community more efficiently.

The problem

Let's say you install a module in your own Drupal website. However, this module is not fully translated for whatever language your website is in. You can, obviously, use Drupal's translation interface on your own website and translate from here whatever is missing.
