In May 2025, the Chamilo Association's board and its voting members assembled and voted to retire the Chamilo Association completely and to hand the keys of the Chamilo project to BeezNest Belgium. This change will be effective as of tomorrow, January 1st, 2026.
The Chamilo Association was founded in 2010 with the goal of promoting the Chamilo project, facilitating coordination among its many actors, providing neutrality and transparency in the decision-making process, and, in the long term, contributing to the software's development.

When creating a training module, planning in-person sessions is an essential aspect to consider. If you are using Chamilo LMS, you can easily set up activity sessions for your course or session. In this article, we will show you how to create 14 activity sessions for a course or session, each with a maximum capacity of 8 participants.
We needed to have a tool that enable student teacher to reflect on their learning but also on their experiences in their training period. The solution was developped as a tool in the Chamilo LMS wich is part of the EKT platform.
The eportfolio tool enable student to create posts based on predefined template to help them initiate activities. They only need to click on the template on the left hand side and the template will appear in the right for them to edit it to complete the post with their own data.
